Helping Central Texans with dyslexia since 1989
We focus on the evaluation and treatment of dyslexia in children in Austin and Central Texas by providing dyslexia evaluations and free effective instruction to children. The Scottish Rite Learning Center also offers nationally accredited, comprehensive dyslexia therapist training to educators.
The Scottish Rite Learning Center of Austin offers training with a proven research-based, multi-sensory approach for learning the basic language skills of reading, writing, and spelling to children at no cost to the families. The center also provides seminars, workshops and resources for educators and parental consultation.
Summer "FUN"damentals Language Learning Camp! For 5, 6, and 7 year olds showing signs of: delayed oral language, difficulty learning the alphabet, weak decoding skills, poor sound symbol recognition, and inadequate vocabulary development. For 8 to 12 year olds who need on-going support in: reading and decoding skills, comprehension and fluency, vocabulary development, written expression, and spelling strategies.
