Dear Friend,

I am pleased to tell you that the Board of Directors of the Scottish Rite Learning Center of Austin led by President William B. Hilgers has approved the launching of a capital funds campaign to build a new and larger center.

The increased demand for our services from children and adults along with population growth in Central Texas have led us to this point. The good news is dyslexia can be overcome. Our programs-tutoring for students in grades one through five and professional development for area educators-provide the means to deal successfully with this complex learning disability.

I invite your support for this important campaign! In the pages that follow, you will read about the challenge of dyslexia and the opportunity to deal with it successfully. The wonderful outcome is that the Scottish Rite Learning Center of Austin is helping many young people. Thank you for your interest.

Sincerely,

Judge Jack E. Hightower
